Dream Girl

I have found my dream girl,
She's as sweet as she can be.
I have found the one I love
she's all the world to me...

My sisters- Can you email me some of our songs?  I started singing this one to NC today while rocking her and now, I can't for the life of me remember ANY!

12 month stats

We had our 12 month appointment today.
Weight: 18 lbs 12 oz, 10-25%
Height: 29 3/8", 50%
Head: 17 5/7", 25-50%

Nancy Carolyn likes to give hugs and kisses.  She points and waves.  She "cruises" all over the place AND today she walked!!!  She has taken 3-5 steps here and there, but today she took many steps and went somewhere- She walked across the kitchen!

My Sweet Nancy Carolyn is ONE!!!

All day today, I've thought "last year at this time..."  It's amazing to think how far we've come over the year.  The changes in our lives, the changes in Nancy Carolyn.  All I can say is AMAZING.  God has indeed blessed us with the sweetest little girl.  She amazes me everyday.  I have to admit, I'm pretty darn tired from all of our fun today.  I tried to make the day special for her (and me).  We had a special breakfast of cinnamon rolls.  We partied at lunch and then for dinner, we headed to one of my favorite restaurants- Frontera!  Enjoy the pics from today.

Our week in Pictures

What a Week!

So I was totally shocked that we didn't have school ALL week long.  It ended up being a good thing because NC and I both were a little sick.  We got a little stomach bug (or ate something bad) on Wednesday and so it was nice to be home and not have to worry about taking time off of work.  Our week was pretty uneventful... we played a lot (INSIDE), took naps, played some more :)  It was a nice treat to spend all week with my baby who is NOW ONE!!!  Another post (and pictures) coming soon....

Snow bunny

                                                                      Isn't she cute?
I'm totally amazed at the amount of "Snice" (hehehe) that we got. ... I was actually thinking that since they were hyping it up SO MUCH that we wouldn't get anything at all.  It was beautiful falling last night...

and then this morning...

So peaceful and quiet.  I didn't want to disturb it.  It's been a lovely day with my family of 3.  We had a yummy breakfast and enjoyed gazing out at the snow.

After NC took her morning nap, we bundled up to head outside.  Of course, not much playing at our house. NC isn't QUITE walking yet (she's taken a few steps alone but is mainly cruising the furniture and holding on to momma and daddy's fingers).  So we just sat her down to see what she'd do... well, she just sat. :)

The rest of our day was spent indoors.  NC must have been too excited to take her afternoon nap, because she didn't take much of one.  We definitely had a fun afternoon playing.

Happy New Year!

I've spent a lot of time the past 24 hours thinking about the New Year- what my goals and resolutions will be, the fact that today is the last "first" holiday for Nancy Carolyn, and what's planned for the year.  To start with, I'm about to lose my husband to training (HA!)... Chris begins his training for Iron Man Arizona next weekend.  Training for an Iron Man is like a full time job, so it will be like he has two full time jobs.  I'm excited for him in this adventure he's about to begin.  He's a captain for the Team In Training "Iron man Team."  I know he's going to do a super job.  You'll be hearing a lot from me about it... as he'll also be fundraising all year.

Nancy Carolyn's FIRST birthday is rapidly approaching.  We've decided to do a small family celebration at our house.  I'm excited but also sad that this first year is almost over... I can't believe how fast it has FLOWN by!  2010 was just an incredible year for us!  :)

Goals and Resolutions have also been on my mind... Here are the "non"goals that I had for 2010.  I definitely succeeded in my personal goal (which was to nurse NC for her whole first year).  I completed a half marathon in November (WOOHOO!) and for the most part have continued to eat healthy.

This year, I'd like to set similar goals.

1.  I would like to continue to run and continue to make myself the healthiest version of me.  I want to set an example of a healthy lifestyle for my sweet girl.
2.  I want to find a church home.  We've been "homeless" for a while and I'm ready to find a home.  We also need to find a home so we can dedicate our sweet girl to the Lord.
3.  I want to improve my relationship with the Lord, spending time with Him daily.  I believe this will help me to be the wife, mother and friend that HE desires of me.
